Coronavirus Update

We are happy to announce that our offices were able to reopen on May 4th per Governor Abbott’s most recent executive order.

As a dental practice, we have always followed CDC and OSHA guidelines with regard to infection control and safety requirements. In addition to our normal stringent sanitation and hygiene procedures, highlighted below are some of the new protocols that will be in place for the foreseeable future:

  • Patients will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entering the office.

  • We will perform a temperature check and pre-screening questionnaire prior to escorting you into the clinical area.

  • We kindly request patients only in the clinical areas.

  • One parent may accompany a child if strongly desired, but absolutely no siblings or friends will be allowed in the clinical area.

  • Please bring a mask to wear when entering and exiting the office.

  • The tooth brushing station will be closed. Please brush and floss your teeth prior to arrival.

  • In the clinical area, we will keep all patients seated a minimum of six feet apart.

  • All team members will be wearing masks.

  • Although procedures that produce aerosols are limited in orthodontics, we will be wearing N95 masks and face shields or eye protection and using high speed suction when aerosols might be present.

  • We will continue to conduct virtual appointments when possible to minimize the number of times each patient must come to our office.

  • For parents that remain in their vehicle, we will call you to schedule your child’s next appointment and give you a progress report.

Please understand that these guidelines have been given to us by the CDC, the Texas State Dental Board, and Governor Abbott’s office. These guidelines could change or be modified over time. For the most part, our offices will run in the same efficient way that you have grown accustomed to. Whether you are a current patient or a new patient just beginning your orthodontic journey, we are very excited to get the office open again and to see each one of you in person. We take your health and safety very seriously and will do our best to ensure your orthodontic visits are pleasant.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
